Our classes
Find your Wednesday morning
The music and movement classes that thousands of UK and Irish families build their week around — for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and school-age children.
Why families choose Jo Jingles
Three things make a Jo Jingles class different from anything else your child could do this week.
Real shakers, bells, drums and percussion in your child’s hands within the first few minutes of every class — not listening-only, not props. It’s what your child remembers, and what they ask to come back for week after week.
Deliberately small classes — capped at ten for babies, seventeen for toddlers and older — where the teacher knows your child by name. Small enough that every child is seen, settled, and given the space to grow in confidence at their own pace.
A structured developmental programme calibrated to your child’s exact stage — not a sing-song. Refined across more than thirty years as the UK and Ireland’s original music and movement programme, now more than forty local businesses.
What to expect from a Jo Jingles class
Nurturing Environment
Each session is structured around the developmental stage of the children in the room, so the music, the movement and the learning focus are always right for where your child is right now.
Singing
Songs your child will be singing in the car, in the bath and at bedtime — building vocabulary, confidence and a real sense of pitch along the way.
Movement
Action songs and dances that build coordination, balance and the gross and fine motor skills children need to move with confidence.
Instrument Play
Real percussion in your child’s hands every session — shakers, bells, tambourines, drums — developing rhythm, listening and fine motor control from the very first class.
Themed Activities
A new theme each week, brought to life through stories, props and imaginative play. Familiar enough that your child settles in fast, fresh enough that no two classes feel the same.
Child Safeguarding
Every Jo Jingles teacher is trained at Head Office and fully DBS-checked, or holds the regional equivalent — so every session is a safe, secure environment for your child.
Special Needs Inclusion
Every child is welcome at Jo Jingles. Our teachers work closely with families to adapt sessions where needed, so every child can take part fully and get everything the programme offers.
Class Length
Most classes run for 45 minutes; baby classes may run for 35. Long enough to settle, learn and play — short enough to hold every child’s attention to the end.
Music and movement classes for every age and stage
Baby Jingles (3 months to walking)
The gentlest forty-five minutes of your week.
Lap songs, soft bells and your baby’s first ever rattle in their own hands — and a teacher who speaks to you as much as to your baby. Babies leave knowing the songs before they can say the words.
Jingle Toddlers (walking to 2 years)
The class where the nursery rhymes finally stick — sung in the bath, sung in the car, sung at the supermarket.
Real percussion in tiny hands, marching and stopping and starting, turning wobbly walkers into confident movers. Words come faster, coordination follows.
Jo Jinglers (2 – 3 years)
For two-year-olds finding their voice — and ready to be the loudest in the room.
A brand new theme every week, brought to life through real instruments, big props and songs that go in by the second chorus. The class your child will ask for by name.
Jingles Juniors (3 – 5 years)
Where music stops being something they enjoy and becomes something they understand.
Real music theory — pitch, beat, notation, the names of orchestral instruments — built into songs and games. Children walk into Reception already comfortable with music.
Music Time (5 - 7 years)
Where Jo Jingles graduates become real little musicians.
Pitched instruments that ask for skill, rounds and echo songs, the first taste of making music as a group. Children leave knowing they can hold a tune, hold a beat, and hold their own in a room of musicians.
Family Time (Mixed Ages)
One room, one class, every age welcome — the toddler, the four-year-old and the baby on a lap all belong. The older one helps the younger one through songs they remember from their own Jo Jingles years.
The weekend hour the whole family asks for.
Song Time (Mixed Ages)
The Jo Jingles class that brings the generations together through music — older adults, children and families in one room, singing, moving and connecting.
Wellbeing in the room, and songs that go home with everyone. Ask your local Jo Jingles whether Song Time runs near you.

FAQs
How much do classes cost?
Jo Jingles class prices start from £5.00 per session, with prices varying by location and age group across the UK. Classes in Ireland start from €7 per session. Sibling discounts and seasonal promotional rates are available in many areas. A termly administration fee also applies. Search for your nearest class to see current pricing and availability in your area.
Can I try a class first?
Trial classes and introductory rates are available in many areas. The easiest way to find out what is on offer near you is to search for your local class and contact your franchisee directly. It is worth knowing that most children take two or three visits to fully settle in, so if your child seems unsure at first, that is completely normal.
Can I pay for individual classes?
Jo Jingles classes are booked by the term rather than session by session. The programme is planned across the full term, with small, consistent groups so that each child can develop at their own pace and play an instrument suited to their stage. Booking by term gives your child the consistency they need to settle in and get the most from every session.
What if I change my mind?
We encourage all families to attend at least half a term before making a decision. It typically takes children two or three visits to settle in, and most find that their confidence grows quickly once they do. If you have any concerns, your class teacher or local franchisee will be happy to help. Please discuss refunds for unused sessions directly with your franchisee.
I have older/younger children too. Can they come to class?
Yes, siblings are welcome to join in alongside the registered child. An additional fee applies for siblings who participate; this fee is agreed directly with your local teacher or franchisee.
What do I need to bring/wear to class?
Dress your child comfortably. Sessions are active, with singing, instrument play, and movement, so comfortable clothing and easy footwear work best. Classes run for 45 minutes. Most venues do not allow food or drinks in the class space, but check with your local franchisee if your child is likely to need a snack.
What happens when my child is old enough to move to another class level?
Children are usually moved to the next age group at the end of the term following their birthday. You can share your preferences for class time and venue and your local teacher will do their best to accommodate you. Age groups are a guide rather than a strict rule. A less confident child may benefit from staying in a familiar class a little longer, while a more advanced child can move up early if they need more stimulation. Your teacher will always advise on what is right for your child.
